Evergreen tree is a native of West Indies, Venezuela and the Guianas
Nowadays the oil is obtained mostly from Morocco and Spain

Deep Golden Yellow

Extraction Method
The leaves collected from a tree at least 5 years old, are subjected to steam distillation (salt is often added or seawater used in the still)

Eugenol, myrcene, chavicol, methyl eugenol, linalool, limonene, cineol

Uses for Health Benefits (Indications)
Dandruff, hair care, oily skin, sprains, strains, rheumatism, neuralgia, muscular pain, poor circulation, colds, flu, dental infection, diarrhea, skin infections

  • Moderately toxic and a mucous membrane irritant coz of the high eugenol content
  • Avoid in alcoholism, in haemophilia, in prostatic cancer, with kidney and liver problems and if taking anticoagulants
  • Pregnant women should avoid it

Cedarwood, Coriander, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Ginger, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Orange, Rose, Rosemary, Thyme and Ylang Ylang
